Alger Falls is a beautiful cascading waterfall located alongside Hwy M-28 just south of Munising, Michigan.  This is a great waterfall to visit if you just want a quick stop on your way out of town.  You don’t even need to get out of your car to view Alger Falls.  Be careful when you stop to visit the falls as they are located along a curve in the road and traffic visibility is limited.

Alger Falls is best viewed in the spring when there is a lot of water coming down the ledges of Alger Creek.  This water flow reduces to a trickle in the summer time.  The series of drops varies in size with the largest drop in the falls measuring about 15 feet.  Alger Falls is a must-stop if you are in the Munising area due to the ease with which it is reached and the beauty of the ledges that make up the drops.
