Lower Silver Falls

Lower Silver FallsThe Silver River has a number of waterfalls located along it.  Lower Silver Falls is very easy to visit although not as impressive as its Upper Falls section.  The falls is made up of two chutes where the river converges into a narrow channel. The second drop is the larger of the two, and the river drops about 15 feet total between the two drops.

Gowaterfalling.com provides the following nice directions:

The falls are easy to reach. Head northeast from L’Anse on Skanee Road (it is called Main Street in L’Anse). Turn right onto Falls Road (I think the sign might actually say ‘Silver Falls Road’). Follow this road to the end, where you will find a small park. Falls Road is at most a quarter mile long. It is a short and easy walk to view the falls.
