Munising Falls in WinterIn the winter Munising Falls freezes and forms a column of ice that reaches all the way to the ground.  Ice climbers are not allowed on the column itself, however there are many ice curtains and other waterfalls in the area that can be scaled by the adventurous.  Munising is a very popular destination among the ice climbing crowd. The ice formations are very interesting even if you do not climb them.
