A tour through the Adventure Copper Mine is a definite highlight when you come up to the UP. The Adventure Mining Company provides a variety of tours that let you experience the history of Upper Michigan firsthand. Located in Ontonagon County at the base of the Keweenaw Peninsula in Michigan’s Western Upper Peninsula, the Adventure Mine in Greenland, MI is only a 30 minute drive from Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park.
The Adventure Mining Company invites you to try one of their four types of tours. They range from a short 45-60 min walk through the surface caverns up to a 6 hour expedition throughout the many levels of the mine including rappelling with a rope and harness. Their tours are very authentic and provide you with a hard hat and headlamp to provide a realistic experience.

They are also host to the Miners Revenge Mountain Bike Race. Mountain Bikers from across the Midwest will want the try the challenging trail that takes them through the mine itself!
