Upper Silver Falls

The Silver River in Baraga County has numerous beautiful waterfalls to view, Upper Silver Falls being one of the most spectacular.  The upper section of this waterfall is the best of the two main drops.  The waterfall separates into numerous sections depending on what the water level is coming down the river.

Upper Silver Falls is located approximately 8 miles southeast of L’Anse Michigan near the town of Herman.  You can reach the falls off of either Lahti Road where it crosses a bridge at the Silver River, or by turning left near an old gravel pit and following this dirt road about 1 and a half miles until you reach a rough parking area.
